Ayr Golf Club is just 45 minutes from Townsville in the bountiful Burdekin district. An 18 hole, 5,861 metre championship course, with many places to explore when not golfing. Local regional attractions include world class wetlands, Aboriginal Cultural Tours, fishing for barramundi, the longest span bridge in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the largest rivers in Queensland. Ayr Golf Club welcomes all visitors, 7 days a week. Hire equipment available. Bookings sometimes essential.

The Queensland Government has provided $86,700.00 to the Ayr Golf Club to upgrade their irrigation system to support golf at Ayr, to increase Queenslanders participation in sport and recreation activities.
We certainly support buggies at Ayr. We have 6 club buggies we hire out, we have 64 sheds we hire out to members to keep their buggies in and we have 7 waiting for a shed.

Visitors are welcome to come and play on our course almost any time.
On Mondays and Tuesdays the club house is closed and a good time to come for a Social game. There is an honesty box in the breezeway of the club house to pay your fees, and you can also phone for a hire buggy if you want one.
Wednesdays is our Ladies Day,all Ladies welcome or you can get a Social game in the morning or after 3 p.m.
Thursday we have a Thursday Club, 9 hole competition or you can have a social game anytime.
Friday you can get a social game anytime, the Vets play in the afternoon.
Saturday and Sunday mornings is open for Social play depending on the competition event for that day which is usually in the afternoons. It is best to phone to find out if the course is open on these days.
We welcome visitors to our club anytime, and also to come and have a drink in the club house.
